As a Founding BDR, you'll be the first point of contact for prospective enterprise clients, laying the groundwork for transformative partnerships with some of the largest organisations and their vast supply chains. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for driving our pipeline growth and market expansion, while playing a key part in accelerating global emissions reduction. This role demands someone with relentless drive and determination who wakes up energised by the prospect of opening doors with some of the world's largest companies.

As part of a dynamic and fast-paced startup, you'll thrive on the challenge of building something extraordinary, tapping into your natural curiosity and communication skills to identify opportunities and spark initial conversations. This position operates on a hybrid work model that fosters both teamwork and individual flexibility, with 3 days per week in our Cambridge office. Exceptional London-based candidates will be considered with a 2-day per week office requirement.

THE WORK YOU'LL DO

  • Build and own the top of the sales funnel: prospecting, outreach, and qualifying leads.
  • Research target accounts, identify key decision-makers and initiate meaningful conversations that uncover business challenges.
  • Work directly with the Founder Growth Lead to shape messaging and sales playbooks.
  • Learn fast, experiment, and adapt as there will be no rigid playbooks; instead, your ideas will directly influence how sales are done.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities by conducting discovery calls and needs assessments with prospective clients.
  • Gather critical information to determine fit and readiness.
  • Schedule and coordinate qualified meetings and demos.
