Following a majority equity investment from a US-based aerospace and defence private equity firm, the business is pushing hard into aerospace and defence alongside its established motorsport, medical and energy work. A brand-new campus is operational, and the pipeline is strong.
You'll be part of a close-knit quality team inspecting precision-engineered components across the full production cycle, goods-in, first-offs and outgoing release. The work is varied and technically interesting, and the parts you sign off end up in sectors where quality really matters.
Responsibilities include:
- Dimensional and visual inspection to customer and regulatory standards
- Producing FAIRs and ISIRs
- Managing non-conformances
- Supporting calibration and jig inspection
- Contributing to ongoing process improvements
Desirable skills:
- NDT methods, penetrant, pressure testing, visual weld inspection
- CMM inspector or programmer, able to run, adapt or write CMM programs, set datums and work confidently with coordinate measuring equipment
- Strong manual inspection skills, confident with bench and hand metrology, able to read and interpret an engineering drawing (BS8888, GD&T, surface finish)
- Experience in an aerospace and defence quality environment, FAIR/ISIR, AS9100 awareness
