SUPPLY CHAIN COORDINATOR / PURCHASING SUPPORT Eynsham, Oxfordshire | Contract - Initial 6 Months | Immediate Start THE OPPORTUNITY A precision engineering business in Eynsham needs immediate contract support within their supply chain and purchasing function. This is a business-critical role on a live, time-sensitive project and they need someone who can hit the ground running from day one. If you're available quickly, organised, tenacious and not afraid to pick up the phone and chase, read on. THE ROLE You'll be embedded within the purchasing team providing dedicated support to ensure materials and components are sourced, chased and delivered on time to keep a key production project on track. The pace is fast, the priority is clear and you'll need to be proactive, persistent and on it from the start. Day-to-day you'll be: * Chasing and expediting outstanding supplier orders to ensure on-time delivery * Communicating directly with suppliers to obtain delivery updates, ETAs and escalation responses * Raising and managing purchase orders within the ERP system * Coordinating between the purchasing team, production and suppliers to flag risks and resolve issues * Maintaining accurate records of supplier communications, delivery commitments and order status * Escalating supply risks quickly and clearly to the wider team * Supporting the buying team with day-to-day purchasing administration as required WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Experience in a purchasing, supply chain, procurement or buying support role * Confident and persistent communicator, comfortable chasing suppliers and holding them to account * Organised and detail-oriented with strong record-keeping * ERP or MRP system experience helpful, SAP desirable but not essential * A junior buyer or purchasing coordinator looking for contract experience would be well considered * Available immediately, this is the non-negotiable requirement for this role THE DETAIL * Contract, initial 6 months * Based on-site in Eynsham, Oxfordshire * Fast start required If you're available now and this sounds like you, get in touch straight away.
