A modern, precision motorsport and aerospace component supplier is seeking a CNC turner to set, operate and program (conversational) a CNC-controlled lathe producing composite parts for motorsport and aerospace applications. The role will require shift working either - Mon to Fri alternating early/late, or permanent late shift. This role can provide training and support, so is open to new entrants with some engineering background interested in developing their skills in machining as well as more experienced hires.
What you will do:
- Load and operate a Mazak CNC lathe; typical parts are carbon fibre up to 400mm. Typical processes include slitting, facing etc.
- Setting, measuring of parts and conversational programming will be desirable but can be taught.
What you will need:
- At least 1 year of recent experience of CNC turning; Mazak preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrate a stable permanent work history.
- Be able to read engineering drawings.
- Be able to work in the UK indefinitely without sponsorship.
What you will get:
- £15 to £17/hr plus shift premium.
- Training in Mazatrol controls and use of tools to set if required.
- Weekday shift pattern, no nights.
