Outside IR35 | Contract (6 Months) | Lates & Nights | Oxfordshire

THE OPPORTUNITY

A precision engineering business in Oxfordshire is looking for an exceptional CNC Turner to join on a 6-month outside IR35 contract, lates and nights shifts, extremely competitive day rates.

This is a business working at the sharp end of aerospace and motorsport. The components are technically demanding, the tolerances are tight, and the environment is fast-paced. If you take genuine pride in your turning work, you’ll fit right in.

THE WORK

You’ll be setting, operating and programming CNC turning machines, machining predominantly composite materials to very tight tolerances. Day-to-day that means working from engineering drawings, selecting tooling and strategies, carrying out tool changes and offsets, and inspecting finished parts to ensure they’re right first time.

The business runs Mazak equipment with Mazatrol controls, but if you’ve built your experience on other turning centres and controls, we want to hear from you. What matters is that you’re a brilliant CNC Turner who produces excellent work.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven CNC turning experience, aerospace, motorsport or any high-spec manufacturing background
  • Strong setup and programming ability; Mazatrol knowledge is a plus, not a must
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances
  • Experience with composites is great, but not essential if your turning is first-class
  • Comfortable with quality inspection tools: micrometers, verniers, the usual
  • Available for lates or nights and able to commit to a 6-month contract

THE DEAL

  • Extremely competitive rates, this is priced to attract the best
  • 6-month contract
  • Lates and nights shifts
  • Oxfordshire-based, on-site
