Our service aims to support rehabilitation and in enabling people to optimise independence and quality of life. We are looking for psychology graduates,support Workers and Healthcare Assistants or suitable candidates who would be willing to support people both within their home environment and also willing to provide support in helping our clients access the community. We are looking for candidates that are confident with working independently and providing empirical feedback where necessary. Job Title: Male Therapy Assistant Location: Oldbury, B68 Hourly Rate: £12.50-£14 per hour depending on experience. Driver Essential? Yes Gender Preference:This role is open to *Male* applicants only. Language: The ability to speak hindi / urdu / punjabi would be more helpful. The client can converse in English but occasionally misunderstands complex information since his injury. Start Date: ASAP Days & Hours: Wednesday: 10:00am – 16:00pm Thursday: 10:00am – 16:00pm About you-Essential Experience: Our client is seeking a therapy assistant, to support them while attending their therapy appointments, and to implement the therapy recommendations at home, e.g. practising cooking skills, or getting out and about in the community. – To drive the client to his therapy appointment (11am) in Stourbridge on a Wednesday morning, remain with him, and then return home and support with lunch. – To support client with community activity or at home therapy on a Thursday morning, and then support client to Headway in the afternoon, and work towards him independently using a taxi to return home.
