Hours: 8.45 am to 3.15 pm
About the Role
We are looking for a qualified PE Teacher to support our holiday club for children aged 6 to 11. This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver fun, inclusive, and engaging physical activities as part of a holiday provision that specialises in supporting children with SEND. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, adapting, and leading age-appropriate activities that encourage participation, enjoyment, movement, and confidence in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver enjoyable PE and movement-based activities for children aged 6 to 11
- Adapt activities to meet a range of needs, including children with SEND
- Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment
- Support children to take part safely and confidently in physical activities
- Work closely with holiday club staff to ensure activities are well organised and run smoothly
- Maintain appropriate health and safety standards at all times
- Help promote teamwork, participation, and enjoyment for all children attending
Person Specification
- Qualified PE Teacher with relevant teaching or sports coaching experience
- Experience of working with children aged 6 to 11
- An understanding of SEND and how to adapt activities to meet individual needs
- Energetic, creative, and approachable
- Able to build positive relationships with children and staff
- Committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and child wellbeing
- Experience working in holiday clubs, schools, or community settings
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
- Up-to-date safeguarding training
- Enhanced DBS
