Physician Extender Opportunity for Foreign Medical Graduate Doctor The position is for a full-time foreign medical graduate for a physician extender role. Practice a Neurology, Physical Medicine, and Orthopedics Practice with multiple locations in Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Long Island. About the Job: Physician Extender who will be responsible for assisting with clinical work and seeing patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, and ability to complete charts without errors. Specifics: Covering clinic days 20 days a month. Total number of days worked depend on ability to travel and cover multiple clinic locations. Clinical hours are 9AM – 6PM. Outpatient only. Physician Extender Responsibilities: Seeing consults and follow ups. Obtaining and recording patient medical histories, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality. Coordinating the daily administrative activities, including completing paperwork for patients requested by insurance/work letters/school letters, etc. Finishing all clinical notes with accuracy, same day as the clinic visit. Helping with patient call backs and developing treatment plans. Requirements for Physician Extender: Highly motivated Willingness to learn Speed with documentation and history taking Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent writing skills Must be comfortable with EMR. Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Spanish is preferred. Prior experience with taking a medical history, scribing encounters efficiently, and completing medical documentation/paperwork is preferred. Must have graduate medical degree. Must be legally allowed to work in NYS (e.g. active work visa, or US citizen, etc.) Benefits: We offer a competitive salary with a yearly increase.
