Come and join one of the UK’s largest providers of complex care. We proudly employ over 4000+ people – no matter what your experience, we have jobs for everyone. Do you aspire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals on their rehabilitation journey? We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about delivering transformative care at our neighbouring neurological rehabilitation services – Christchurch View and Loyd House.

At Active Care Group, every success story highlights our commitment to holistic, person-centred care. Dennis’s journey at Christchurch View exemplifies the impact of this approach. Years of trauma led Dennis to alcohol addiction, which—combined with a brain injury caused by two strokes and repeated falls and seizures—left him unable to live independently. With the support of our specialist team, Dennis has regained his independence. Today, he volunteers at the service, helping other residents with arts and crafts, cooking, and other activities. Reflecting on his progress, he says, 'I can look at myself in the mirror now and like myself.' Dennis’s story shows how personalised psychological support can help individuals overcome significant challenges—from addiction to complex brain injuries and reclaim autonomy in their lives. This is the kind of meaningful change you’ll help facilitate every day at Christchurch View and Loyd House. If you’re ready to make a lasting difference in the lives of people like Dennis, apply today to join our team at Active Care Group.

What you’ll be working: This role is 24 hours per week with days and times to be agreed. We understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.

What you’ll be doing:

  • As a Clinical Psychologist, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering assessments and therapeutic interventions to service users with brain injury and complex neurological conditions.
  • Your work will be instrumental in creating and guiding personalized rehabilitation plans to promote independence and recovery.
  • Conduct psychological assessments to understand the needs of each individual and develop tailored care plans that address their unique challenges.
  • Deliver evidence‑based therapeutic interventions, helping service users adjust to life‑changing injuries or conditions and reach their full potential.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of individual and group treatment programmes.
  • Collaborate with a diverse, interdisciplinary team of clinicians to ensure holistic care that integrates physical and psychological rehabilitation.
  • Support families and carers, giving them the tools and understanding to help their loved ones recover and thrive.
  • Play an integral role in the continuous development of a service that changes lives, contributing your expertise to service improvement initiatives.
  • Keep people safe from any harm and protect their human rights.

What you’ll have:

  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Experience or an evident and demonstrable interest in neuropsychology and/or behavioural interventions.
  • Ability to create a trusting therapeutic relationship that empowers service users in their recovery.
  • Passion for multidisciplinary teamwork and delivering holistic care.
  • Commitment to making a difference in the lives of service users and their families.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS. We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions. To support this, we are a Disability Confident employer.

  • Birthday off.
  • Join the Active Learning Hub and benefit from a wide range of e-learning and face-to-face training and development opportunities.
