Vacancy Location: Penrith
Salary and Contract Options: £14.50 to £16 per hour, permanent part-time contract
Rota Requirements: We operate on a fortnightly rolling basis, hours for this position are as follows:
- Week A: Thursday 14.30-21.30 (7hrs), Friday 14.30-21.30 (7hrs), Saturday 21.30-07.30 (10hrs) Waking night
- Week B: Thursday 14.30-21.30 (7hrs), Friday 21.30-07.30 (10hrs) Waking night, Sunday 14.30-21.30 (7hrs)
There is some flexibility and additional hours are available for sickness and holiday periods. If you are interested in boosting your hours to full time, we have cases in the Penrith, Glassonby and Carlisle areas where you could cross work – you would need to drive to reach these areas though.
Role Requirements:
- Provide full personal and nursing care.
- Be patient, understanding, and able to support someone who is unable to communicate verbally.
- Work as part of an established, supportive team.
- If a driver, assist with community outings.
- Help maintain a clean and comfortable home.
What the Role Involves:
You will work as part of an established team supporting a lady who lives in her home. This is a lovely work environment where some staff members have worked on the team for over 15 years. You will work in a person-centred way ensuring that this lady's physical, social and emotional needs are met. This will be in the home but also supporting with activities in the community with a colleague.
