Seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of refurbishment, fit-out and construction projects across London. Opportunity to work within a collaborative commercial team across multiple schemes from early-stage procurement through to final account.
Working as part of an established commercial team, you will be involved in the full project cycle, from early-stage costing and procurement through to final account settlement. The role would suit someone who is commercially astute, organised, and confident working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered profitably and efficiently.
The role will include:
- Taking commercial responsibility for projects from initial tender through to completion
- Producing and monitoring budgets, cost plans, and supporting tender submissions
- Managing subcontract procurement and overseeing related commercial matters
- Preparing valuations, assessing variations, and agreeing final accounts
- Tracking financial performance and providing regular forecasts and cost reports
- Liaising with operational teams to support effective commercial decision-making
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor position within construction
- Exposure to retail and/or commercial fit-out or build projects would be beneficial
- Good knowledge of contracts, cost management, and project commercial controls
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities
- The ability to manage several live projects while working collaboratively with wider teams
- A degree or recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying or a similar field
