Role overview: Own revenue growth across the commercial & industrial battery storage solutions. You will build and convert a high-quality pipeline with developers, EPCs/integrators, M&E contractors, and end-users (manufacturing, logistics, estates, public sector), turning site load/PV data into bankable proposals and closing multi-site frameworks.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and execute the UK C&I go-to-market plan; deliver monthly, quarterly, annual revenue and gross-margin targets.
- Prospect and qualify new logos (developers/EPCs, aggregators, M&E, end-users) and expand existing accounts with multi-site rollouts.
- Drive RFI/RFP responses, pricing, framework agreements, MSAs, and negotiate commercial terms to close.
- Enable channel partners (EPCs/integrators/distributors) with training, certifications, and co-marketing; support aggregator onboarding for market participation.
- Represent the business at trade shows/roadshows/CPDs and customer site visits.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 4 to 5 years B2B sales in C&I solar/BESS (any mix of: PV modules, inverters/PCS, C&I BESS, mounting/trackers) with a consistent record of closing 6-7 figure C&I projects and/or multi-site frameworks.
- Existing relationships across developers, EPCs/integrators, M&E contractors, aggregators and C&I end-users.
- Commercial skills: Confident with TCO/IRR business cases, contracts, price/term negotiation, and margin protection.
- Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel UK-wide.
- Communication: Excellent written/verbal English; another European language a plus.
- Nice to have: Degree in engineering/business (or equivalent).
