An established business operating within the renewable energy sector is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the delivery of large-scale energy infrastructure projects across the UK. This role will take responsibility for projects from mobilisation through to commissioning and final handover, ensuring delivery against programme, budget, quality, and client expectations. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, delivery partners, network stakeholders, and internal technical teams to drive successful execution throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing projects from award through to completion and handover
- Overseeing programme, cost, risk, quality, and contractual performance
- Coordinating with clients, contractors, technical teams, and external stakeholders
- Supporting delivery across engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning, and energisation phases
- Managing project changes, commercial risks, and recovery actions where required
- Monitoring site progress and ensuring works are delivered safely and to the required standard
- Providing regular project updates, reporting, and escalation management to senior stakeholders
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, construction, energy, or project management
- Proven experience delivering complex infrastructure, energy, or power-related projects
- Strong background in project planning, budget control, stakeholder management, and risk management
- Understanding of contractor-led project delivery and site execution
- Knowledge of grid-connected or utility-related projects would be beneficial
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple parties across a project lifecycle
- Previous experience within renewable energy, energy storage, power systems, or associated sectors would be advantageous
