About the opportunity
We are keen to hear from Technical Engineers / Service Engineers with experience supporting BESS, solar PV, inverter, PCS, switchgear or related electrical equipment across the renewables sector in the West Midlands. We work with businesses across the clean energy and power infrastructure market and are looking to connect with engineers who are comfortable carrying out fault finding, maintenance, servicing, diagnostics and technical support on installed equipment.
Typical areas of experience may include:
- Preventative and reactive maintenance on BESS or solar-related equipment
- Fault diagnosis across electrical or electro-mechanical systems
- Supporting commissioning, servicing and warranty issues
- Working with OEM equipment, field service documentation and technical procedures
- Site-based troubleshooting and customer-facing support
- Reporting on system performance, defects and remedial actions
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a Service Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or similar position
- Background within renewables, solar PV, battery storage, power systems, industrial electrical equipment or related technology
- Strong fault-finding and hands-on technical skills
- Comfortable working on customer sites and travelling regionally where required
- Relevant electrical qualifications or technical training would be beneficial
