We're an in-office company, driven by a shared commitment to excellence and velocity. Our values - Just Get It Done, Invent What Customers Want, Winner's Mindset, and The Polymath Principle - shape how we work and grow as a team.

About the Role

Decagon is scaling rapidly, and we're looking to bring on Business Development, EMEA to join the Founder's Office and help drive expansion. This role is responsible for cultivating and deepening Decagon's executive relationships across large enterprises, private equity firms, strategic partners, and the broader technology and investment ecosystem. This is a highly strategic, relationship-driven role designed to accelerate Decagon's growth in the DACH region by establishing trusted executive relationships and converting them into high-impact commercial and partnership outcomes. In this role, you will work closely with Decagon's founders, executive team, and go-to-market leaders to prospect, cultivate, and secure meaningful relationships with senior decision-makers across Europe's largest companies, high-growth technology firms, and PE- and VC-backed portfolios. You will often serve as a first point of contact for executives engaging with Decagon and are expected to deliver clear value in every interaction. This is not a traditional sales role. Success depends on judgment, executive presence, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, founder-led situations.

We'd love to hear from you if you are energized by working with senior executives, thrive in fast-moving and unstructured environments, are comfortable engaging both in-person and through modern GTM tools, and bring deep respect for operators and entrepreneurs building complex businesses.

In this role, you will:

  • Build and expand Decagon's executive network across DACH, including enterprise customers, private equity firms, strategic partners, and investors.
  • Partner directly with Decagon's founders on high-stakes, complex enterprise opportunities.
  • Cultivate relationships with C-level and VP-level executives in customer experience, operations, technology, and digital transformation.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships, including private equity firms, systems integrators, ecosystem partners, and PE-backed platforms.
  • Work with PE firms to drive Decagon adoption across portfolio companies.
  • Leverage executive relationships to accelerate enterprise evaluations, influence build vs. buy decisions, and drive urgency.
  • Represent Decagon at executive briefings, private dinners, industry events, and partner meetings across Europe.
  • Apply strong commercial judgment to prioritize the highest-impact opportunities across regions and verticals.
  • Help shape Decagon's EMEA market expansion strategy through direct market feedback.

Your background looks something like this:

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic growth, partnerships, enterprise GTM, or founder-adjacent roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with senior executives, VC/PE investors, and operators, and close complex, relationship-driven opportunities.
  • Must be proficient in German.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills.
  • Proven judgment in prioritizing deals, partners, and markets.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments without heavy process.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Benefits

We proudly offer the following benefits for our full-time employees:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits for you and your family.
  • Life Insurance and Disability Benefits.
  • Retirement Plan (e.g., 401K, pension).

  • Fertility and family building benefits through Carrot.
  • Monthly stipend to support your wellness, lifestyle, and work-life balance.
