This isn't just circuit design. It's bringing life-changing technology to people who need it. At Neupulse, we've developed a groundbreaking medical device that uses precisely controlled electrical pulses to help people with Tourette's regain control of their tics. Based on world-leading neuroscience, our technology is poised to make a real difference in the lives of people who desperately need new treatment options.

As we move into full product launch, this is your opportunity to be part of something extraordinary. We need an Electronics Design and Development Engineer to lead the design and development of electronic hardware for our wearable medical device. This is a hands-on role—you'll be doing real design work from schematic capture through to production, while also coordinating with external partners to ensure seamless development and manufacturing.

You’ll own the electronics across the full product lifecycle, and as we grow, you’ll help shape which capabilities we build in-house. This is hands-on design work with strategic impact. Your technical expertise will directly shape how we manufacture and scale this life-changing device.

What you’ll do

  • Design and develop electronic hardware for our wearable medical device from concept through to production.
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout (up to 6 layers) using Altium Designer, ensuring best practices for EMC, signal integrity, and manufacturability.
  • Design with STM32 microcontrollers, BLE modules, power management, and battery charging circuits for wearable/portable products.
  • Perform board bring-up, debugging, and performance validation using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and test equipment.
  • Support design validation and verification testing to IEC 60601 and related medical standards.
  • Maintain eCAD data, component libraries, and design documentation per regulatory requirements.
  • Design and build test fixtures, jigs, and instrumentation for validation and production test.
  • Work with contract manufacturers and design agencies to support product transfer and production.
  • Troubleshoot and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
  • Act as the technical authority for electronic hardware design decisions.
  • Evaluate which design and development elements can be transitioned in-house as we scale.
  • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and quality teams to deliver reliable, compliant, and manufacturable designs.

What you’ll bring

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in electronics design for medical or regulated devices (ISO 13485 environment preferred).
  • Proficiency in Altium Designer for schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout.
  • Strong understanding of STM32 microprocessors, BLE, power/battery management, and low-power design.
  • Experience across the full product development cycle—concept, prototype, verification, through to production.
  • Knowledge of IEC 60601 standards and regulatory requirements for electrical safety and EMC.
  • Hands-on experience with electronics test equipment and validation.
  • Experience with National Instruments hardware and LabVIEW for test automation.
  • Familiarity with DFM/DFT principles and working with contract manufacturers.
  • Understanding of wireless regulatory testing (CE/FCC) and EMC design.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14971 risk management and medical device development processes.
  • Embedded systems development experience.

Why Neupulse?

  • Make a tangible difference. Your work on cutting-edge wearable medical technology will directly impact people's lives—people who've been searching for new treatment options.
  • Shape the future. You’ll lead external partners now and help decide what we bring in-house as we grow.
  • Work with purpose and autonomy. You’ll have technical ownership and the trust to make critical decisions about our electronics design and manufacturing approach.
  • Be part of something innovative. We're not following the market—we're creating it.
  • Grow your expertise. Professional development opportunities in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Competitive package. Salary and benefits that reflect the critical nature of this role.

Ready to engineer hope? If you're an electronics engineer who wants to lead the development of life-changing medical technology—working strategically with partners today while building for tomorrow—we want to hear from you.
