Founding Fullstack Engineer

Hybrid – 2–3 days/week in London (Waterloo)

£80k–£100k + equity and startup benefits

Neulinx is on the lookout for a Founding Fullstack Engineer to join an early-stage startup operating where healthcare, fintech, and AI converge. This is the first technical hire — a chance to build the product, shape the tech, and play a key role in defining what gets shipped.

You’ll work directly with the technical founder (ex-healthtech scaleup) and have real input on how things are built — from architecture to product direction. It’s hands-on, fast-moving, and built for engineers who thrive with ownership.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Architect and build out the core platform from scratch.
• Lead fullstack development — backend services, frontend features, and everything in between.
• Create clean, scalable systems and take responsibility for performance, security, and resilience.
• Work closely with product and operations to solve real user problems fast.
• Set the groundwork for engineering culture, tooling, and team growth.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of fullstack engineering experience, ideally in startup or product-focused environments.
• Strong backend skills, particularly with Node.js.
• Solid frontend experience using JavaScript frameworks — Vue.js, React, or TypeScript. (They’re currently on Vue, with plans to evolve to React.)
• Experience working in production, debugging live issues, and pushing improvements rapidly.
• A bias toward shipping, learning, and iterating — without compromising technical fundamentals.
• Clear communicator and natural collaborator, comfortable wearing multiple hats.

Nice-to-Haves

• Background in fintech, healthtech, or AI-powered platforms.
• Experience with LLMs, conversational UI, or building with emerging AI tools.
