About the Company
Neulinx are partnered with a well-established SaaS company operating within the travel and hospitality sector. The company is looking for either a Product Owner, Associate Product Owner, or a strong Business Analyst looking to move into a Product Owner role. The platform processes a high volume of booking transactions and integrates with multiple external partners including online travel agencies, payment providers and other third party systems. Because of the nature of the platform, performance, reliability and data accuracy are critical. The product sits at the centre of customer operations and directly impacts their revenue. The business combines the pace and ownership of a scaling technology company with the structure and maturity of an established product organisation.
About the Role
This role sits within the product team and reports into the VP of Product. Candidates may come from structured product organisations or fast-moving technology companies, but should demonstrate a strong curiosity about how systems behave and a genuine interest in understanding the data and integrations behind product features. This is a hands-on role focused on defining product requirements and working closely with engineering teams to ensure features are delivered successfully. You will be expected to confidently communicate product requirements and decisions across the business. That includes leading discussions with software engineers, presenting ideas to stakeholders and helping guide how features should be delivered. The role requires someone who is proactive and comfortable taking ownership of product delivery rather than relying on technical leads to drive direction.
What You Will Be Doing
- Owning product features from discovery through to delivery and iteration
- Defining clear and structured product requirements for engineering teams
- Working closely with software engineers to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively
- Leading discussions with engineering teams around product requirements and implementation approaches
- Presenting product updates and feature direction to stakeholders across the business
- Engaging with customers and internal teams to understand product needs and priorities
- Supporting investigation of product issues and analysing how the platform behaves in real scenarios
- Using data and analytical thinking to support product decisions
- Developing a strong understanding of how the platform operates behind the scenes, including integrations with external systems and the flow of data between services
Essential Experience
- 3+ years’ experience working as a Product Owner, Associate Product Owner or Business Analyst in a product-led environment
- B2B product experience
- Experience working within product teams where collaboration with engineering and clear product documentation are important to successful delivery
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence presenting product ideas and requirements to engineering teams, stakeholders and customers
- Strong analytical mindset and close attention to detail
- Experience working with API integrations or complex system-to-system integrations
Desirable Experience
- Basic SQL or experience analysing product data
- Exposure to SaaS platforms with multiple third party integrations
- Experience supporting live product environments or investigating production issues
- High transaction platforms, such as marketplaces, booking systems, payments platforms or e-commerce environments
- Experience working on platforms where system behaviour, data accuracy and integration reliability directly impact customers or revenue
Who Will Succeed in This Role
- Someone who communicates confidently with engineers and stakeholders
- A candidate who takes ownership and drives product work forward
- Detail oriented and analytical in their approach
- Comfortable presenting ideas and product direction to a wide audience
- A Business Analyst ready to move into product ownership or a Product Owner earlier in their career who is looking to deepen their technical and systems understanding
- Someone naturally curious about how software systems work and motivated to understand the details behind product behaviour
