Senior Data Policy & Regulatory Analyst (maternity cover) – London

Company: Neudata — a London-based fintech firm with offices in NYC and Shanghai. Neudata provides data scouting services for investment managers and offers a flagship compliance product, Sentry.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and disseminate critical news and developments in data compliance, providing timely intelligence to hedge fund clients and senior stakeholders by overseeing news monitoring processes and analysis.
  • Set the agenda for investment managers by directing research initiatives and authoring authoritative thought leadership on regulatory trends, topics, and best practices; steer the enhancement of alerts, risk management tools, and regulatory content to shape Neudata’s product strategy.
  • Drive Neudata’s data vendor risk program by evaluating due diligence forms and investigating new risks; act as a liaison between Neudata and leading hedge funds, guiding data compliance and supporting high-stakes client calls.
  • Support junior analysts and serve as a key point of contact for major hedge fund clients, providing expert guidance on compliance and managing high-priority legal and regulatory queries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor\’s degree or above
  • 4+ years of experience in diligence, compliance, journalism, or analyzing regulations related to technology and data
  • Legal background or experience within government/regulatory bodies is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience engaging with external clients and senior stakeholders, including presenting findings and managing relationships
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to create insightful content with minimal supervision
  • Intellectual curiosity and a strong interest in data policy
  • Ability to determine the credibility of information gathered
  • Positive attitude with initiative to develop and take on additional responsibilities

  • 25 days of annual leave plus an additional day for each year worked (capped at 30 days)
