Senior Backend Developer - Broadcast & Media

About the Role:

Our client are currently looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join their growing engineering team, contributing to the development of backend solutions for M&E clients. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising workflows, working cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and QA teams to ensure successful project execution.

The role involves hands-on coding, building high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using Python and Django to create robust web applications, APIs, and backend services. Responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, conducting unit and integration testing, participating in technical problem-solving, and ensuring system reliability.

To be successful you’ll need to have…

• Experience within the broadcast and video industry with an understanding of the full media supply chain and workflows
• Proficiency in Python and Django for web applications, APIs, and developing scalable backend solutions
• The primary focus is backend development, but a foundational understanding of full-stack applications and cloud services (AWS or GCP) is required
