Position
Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated Tax Associate to assist the EMEA Tax Team with a range of compliance and advisory matters.
Key areas of focus will include Corporation Tax, VAT, Transfer Pricing and Withholding taxes in a wide range of jurisdictions.
This role would suit someone looking to broaden their tax knowledge and financial services expertise with a global asset manager.
Group Tax is made up of a team of tax professionals based in both London and New York.
Group Tax work closely with all areas of the business providing advice and assistance on all tax related matters.
- Primary Responsibilities
- Assistance with all management company direct and indirect tax filings
- Management of external advisors
- Interaction with auditors on all tax related items
- Work with internal entity controllers to ensure accurate recording of tax items in financial statements
- Assist in tax planning, tax related audits and special projects as a result of changes in legislation
- Keep up to date with legislation and regulation with a view to share knowledge with wider internal teams
- Assistance in relation to tax structuring of investment transactions
- Collect and review data for use in all tax related filings
- Project based work to implement process and system enhancements
- Ongoing monitoring of investment structures to assess tax related risk
- Assistance with preparation of internal tax related documentation
- Interacting with tax authorities to assist with tax audits

- Key Requirements / Qualifications
- Strong tax compliance and accounting experience to manage all direct and indirect tax filings
- 3-7 years of relevant work experience
- Experience of working in a financial services business or accounting firm
- Experience of international tax concepts
- Relevant professional qualification e. g. ACA or CTA
- Proficient user of Microsoft products
