Position Overview: We are seeking a Client Associate / Junior Relationship Manager to provide sales support to the Nordic Client Coverage. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team and provide a wide range of support as we continue to develop the business in the Nordics.

The Nordic Client Coverage Team works closely with Neuberger Berman’s Global and Regional Client Coverage teams to manage relationships predominantly with Nordic Financial Intermediaries. This broad client base has different needs and requirements regarding the strategies in which they invest both on the liquid side as well as the illiquid side and day-to-day client servicing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the local team in their day-to-day client activity and strategic initiatives.
  • Managing outbound and inbound sales, with proactive interactions with new or existing leads and follow-ups.
  • Liaising and collaborating with colleagues in Portfolio Management, Client Service, Marketing and Compliance teams for client deliverables.
  • Organizing prospective client related activity, including but not limited to client presentations, ensuring all activity follows the regulatory framework.
  • Conducting market research and assisting the team on appropriate business strategies and client analysis.
  • CRM maintenance, including database management, producing pipeline activity and meeting notes, to help enhance the overall sales processes.
  • Servicing existing client book and responding to all client needs diligently while working with the client services team.
  • Initiating outbound sales calls and organising client meetings. Preparing new business sales presentations and leading client meetings.
  • Working closely with the marketing and client services teams to effectively communicate investment philosophies and processes while coordinating client communications.
  • Organizing and proactively supporting client events and marketing collateral efforts.

Key Requirements / Qualifications:

  • A self-starter, who works in a precise and timely manner, who can take ownership to move initiatives forward.
  • Availability to travel most days of the week to present NB strategies to different investor bases.
  • Excellent interpersonal attitude and skills.
  • Willingness to learn, collaborate and partner across the business.
  • A strong interest in asset management, financial services, and financial markets.
  • Strong communication both written and verbal skills and presentation skills.
  • Strongly numerate with a good working knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint.
  • Preference for local language – Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian or Icelandic.
