We are seeking a talented and experienced Content Strategist and Writer to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing and executing marketing campaigns and content programs that promote our public markets and private markets platforms. In this role, you’ll apply your knowledge of capital markets to propose timely campaigns, and work with channel marketing partners to define and create go-to-market content needs. You’ll also conceptualize and create written content for investment thought leadership, brand campaigns, our website, advertising and social media. You’ll partner closely with colleagues in investments, product, and distribution as well as marketing, legal, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of investment strategies, public and private financial markets, and asset management, coupled with exceptional writing and storytelling skills. You’ll write for both the intermediary and institutional distribution channels as well as a global audience. Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Develop clear, compelling, and insightful content, including thought leadership pieces, brand campaigns, website content, advertising and social media. Translate complex financial and economic concepts into language that is accessible and engaging for institutional and retail audiences. Play a key role in the development and execution of the firm’s flagship content initiatives, including the annual market outlook campaign and other thematic projects. Adapt content to address emerging client needs, industry developments, and ad hoc requests from stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with portfolio managers, analysts, and economists to extract insights and craft content that reflects the firm’s investment philosophy and expertise. Work closely with marketing and communications teams to align content with broader brand messaging and business goals.
- Thought Leadership: Identify emerging trends and topics in the investment industry to generate timely and relevant content ideas and campaign initiatives. Contribute to the development of content strategies that position the firm as an industry leader.
- Digital and Multimedia Adaptation: Collaborate with digital marketing teams to repurpose content for social media, email campaigns, videos, and other digital platforms. Leverage SEO best practices to optimize content for online visibility and engagement.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and macroeconomic trends. Familiarity with asset classes such as equities, fixed income, alternatives, and multi-asset strategies. Monitor competitor platform messaging and campaigns across public and private markets, synthesizing market and competitor insights to inform our platform positioning, narratives, and go-to-market strategies. Propose new strategies, formats, and approaches that enhance platform visibility, differentiation, and ROI.
- Writing and Communication: Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a proven ability to simplify complex investment concepts. Strong ability to tailor content to different audiences and regions, including institutional clients, advisors, and retail investors in the US, UK, EMEA and APAC.
- Collaboration and Project Management: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with investment professionals, marketing teams, and compliance departments. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to craft effective GPT-prompts is helpful. Familiarity with performance metrics for content and experience recommending optimizations, including A/B testing of messages, formats, and channels.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. 5+ years of experience in investment writing, journalism, or financial marketing, preferably within an asset management or financial services environment. CFA designation or progress toward CFA is a plus but not required.
