Lead impactful renewable energy projects shaping the UK’s clean energy future. A fast-growing renewable energy developer is seeking an experienced Development Manager to take ownership of modern onshore wind projects from early feasibility through planning, consent and into pre-construction. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious team delivering nationally significant clean energy projects.

What you’ll be doing
- Leading day-to-day development of multiple onshore wind projects
- Managing full project programmes, critical paths, risks and budgets
- Preparing internal reports, investment gate papers and milestone updates
- Developing robust planning strategies and managing EIA-level applications
- Coordinating inputs from environmental, planning, technical and legal specialists
- Engaging with planning authorities, statutory consultees and local communities
- Overseeing layout design iterations, technical assessments and grid considerations
- Acting as a key point of contact for landowners, agents and stakeholders
- Coordinating site access, surveys, meetings and site visits
- Managing consultants and ensuring high-quality, on-time deliverables
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
- 3–7 years’ experience in energy, renewables or a related infrastructure field
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system and environmental assessment frameworks
- Proven experience managing wind-specific technical and environmental workstreams
- Confident communicator who can build trust with landowners, planning authorities and consultants
- Excellent organisational and project management skills with attention to detail
