Land Manager – 15-Month Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)

Development / Land | ÂŁ65,000 DOE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Land Manager to join a rapidly growing renewable energy business developing large-scale energy projects. This role plays a key part in enabling the successful delivery of onshore renewable developments that support a low-carbon future.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Land Manager, you will manage land rights and relationships across several energy project sites. You’ll lead on land‑related workstreams, support planning submissions, and work alongside internal teams and external consultants to keep projects progressing to key milestones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Secure land rights required for project development
  • Engage with landowners, occupiers and key stakeholders
  • Support development of land acquisition strategies
  • Arrange access for surveys and assessments
  • Manage third‑party land agents and surveyors
  • Maintain accurate records, budgets and reporting
  • Build strong relationships that enable project success
  • Work collaboratively with technical, project and legal teams

What We’re Looking For

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of land management and farming practice
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship‑building skills
  • Confident negotiator with strong commercial acumen
  • Strategic thinker with ability to problem‑solve quickly
  • Proactive, resilient and comfortable working autonomously

Experience & Qualifications

  • Professionally qualified (e.g., RICS) or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in a land‑facing role (energy experience desirable)
  • Experience managing suppliers and external consultants
  • Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders/boards
