If you are proactive, detail-oriented, and well-versed in grid connection applications, API scripts, Python, and network modeling, this role could be a perfect fit for you.

Main Duties

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting grid connection applications, including G99
  2. Utilizing API scripts for data gathering
  3. Developing and maintaining network models for connection assessment
  4. Conducting relevant connection studies

Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to undertake research using diverse sources and filter for important developments, including reading publications and policy papers, attending conferences, meeting and interviewing key stakeholders across different sectors of the economy, and keeping up to date with news on technological and social developments
  • Strong analytical skills. Able to scope and prioritise which questions to answer, understand which factors affect an outcome and conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Experience of energy planning especially at a Local Authority, Gas or Electricity Distribution network level.
  • Experience of communicating with, and influencing, internal and external stakeholders
  • Programming skills in Python, Excel, BI or SQL
  • Degree in STEM, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or other relevant data analytics qualifications or industry experience.
