  • General Arrangement Preparation: Create and maintain general arrangement and elevation views. Develop erection key diagrams, trench plans, lightning protection layouts, earthing layouts, illumination layouts, and control building layouts.
  • Technical Calculations: Conduct auxiliary load calculations, AC & DC cable sizing calculations, and schedule planning. Size UPS, batteries, and battery chargers. Perform control cable scheduling and direct stroke lightning protection calculations. Calculate earthing requirements, short circuit forces, and cantilever strengths.

Main Duties

  • Analysis and Reporting: Conduct grounding analysis using specialized software. Perform engineering calculations and compile detailed reports.
  • Review and Quality Assurance: Review and approve all substation-related equipment. Ensure protection and control design drawings meet client and regulatory standards (IEC, ANSI, IEEE).
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to junior engineers and team members.

Skills

  • Knowledge of electrical substation equipment.
  • Working knowledge of protection and control design.
  • Proficiency in ETAP, PSS/E, and PSCAD software.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office suite.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
