About the Role:
An MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Specialist in Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects manages the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of high-value equipment, machinery, and infrastructure services necessary for building, expanding, or upgrading production facilities.
This role bridges operational maintenance needs with long-term strategic investments, focusing on total cost of ownership (TCO) and project timelines.
- CapEx Sourcing: Lead end-to-end purchasing for capital projects,
- Supplier Relationship Management: Develop relationships with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to ensure performance, innovation, and reliability.
- Cost Optimization & Savings: Drive cost-saving initiatives (negotiated reductions, cost avoidance, and working capital reductions) while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Project Collaboration: Work directly with engineering, project management, and operational teams to define technical specifications, scope, and project schedules.
- MRO Category Management: Streamline MRO spend, standardize spare parts, and rationalize the supplier base to reduce operational downtime.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential supply risks and establish mitigation strategies to keep capital projects on schedule.
- Digital Tools Usage: Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for purchasing, contract management, and analytics to track KPIs.

Key Skills, Experience & Requirements:
- Previous experience in indirect procurement, specifically with CapEx and MRO categories within a manufacturing, FMCG, or pharmaceutical environment.
- Understanding of manufacturing equipment, facility infrastructure, and technical specifications.
- Strong negotiation skills, contract management, data analytics, and proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP).
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. (Desirable).
