We are looking for 3 MEICA Supervisors to support the successful delivery of mechanical, electrical and civil engineering projects across the water and wastewater sector. In this role, you’ll provide essential technical expertise, supervising engineering activities, and ensure project requirements are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring that all MEICA activities are executed safely, to specification, and in line with programme and budget expectations. The role works closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and operational stakeholders to maintain asset performance and deliver capital and operational projects.

The MEICA Supervisor is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation works across clean water treatment works, pumping stations, and network assets. The role ensures that installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning activities are delivered to regulatory, technical, and quality standards while supporting operational resilience and customer service outcomes.

Experience & Knowledge

  • 2+ years’ experience in the water industry.
  • Technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or civil engineering systems.
  • Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes, pumping systems, pipelines, and WIMES/client standards.
  • Familiarity with construction, commissioning, and handover processes (e.g., pressure testing, cable testing).

Required Skills & Experience

  • MEICA/EICA Experience — Strong background in MEICA installation, maintenance, or supervision within water/utilities.
  • Technical Knowledge — Familiarity with WIMES, clean water treatment processes, LV switchgear, MCCs, pumps, valves, ICA/telemetry systems.
  • Safety Qualifications — SSSTS/SMSTS, EUSR Water Hygiene, and understanding of CDM requirements. COMPEX/DSEAR knowledge advantageous.
  • Engineering Qualifications — NVQ Level 3 Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), BS7671: th Edition, AM2, C&G or equivalent (Desirable).
  • Communication & Leadership — Ability to lead teams, coordinate subcontractors, and resolve on-site challenges.
  • Full UK driving licence (role involves travel across operational sites).
