Mobile Engineer

Full-Time On-site
Networx Recruitment

Are you an experienced Mobile HGV Engineer, Field Service Engineer or Plant Technician looking for a role where you can take ownership of your day and put your technical skills to good use? As a Mobile Engineer with Dawsongroup EMC, you will maintain and repair our specialist municipal and utilities equipment in the field, responding to breakdowns and service requirements while delivering the high standards our customers rely on.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across a varied fleet of specialist equipment.
  • Carry out planned maintenance, PMI inspections and both minor and major repairs.
  • Work safely at all times, following SHEQ procedures, completing risk assessments and challenging unsafe behaviour.
  • Complete accurate electronic job records using a PDA and keep reports up to date.
  • Manage your own workload and vehicle stock while working closely with colleagues, supervisors and our service desk.

About You

You will bring previous hands‑on engineering experience, with the confidence to diagnose faults and deliver quality repairs with a right first‑time mindset. You do not need to know every Dawsongroup EMC asset from day one, but relevant Plant or HGV experience and a willingness to develop your product knowledge will give you a strong foundation.

  • A recognised Plant or HGV Technician qualification, with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with diesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Practical electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Confidence using plant or fleet diagnostic equipment and communicating effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • A Class 2 HGV licence would be desirable, but is not essential.
