As an Environmental Advisor, you will provide practical environmental support and guidance across underground cabling and overhead electricity works, helping project and site teams deliver works safely, responsibly and in line with environmental legislation, client requirements and Network Plus procedures. The role will involve supporting activities across a range of working environments, including highways, rural fields, agricultural land, private land, areas near watercourses, and environmentally sensitive locations such as Sites of Special Scientific Interest.
You will be responsible for identifying environmental risks and advising on suitable controls during the planning and delivery of construction works. This will include supporting environmental screening, reviewing and assisting with Construction Environmental Control Plans, producing environmental risk assessments, supporting permit and consent applications, and undertakingsite inspections to ensure environmental requirements are being met. The rolewillrequireclosecollaborationwithoperationalteams, supervisors, project managers, clients, landowners, regulators and interested parties to ensure worksaredeliveredwithminimalenvironmentalimpactandin accordancewith bestpractice.
