Our Fire Investigation Officers play a vital role in examining a wide range of fires and explosions on behalf of Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service and our partner agencies. The unpredictable nature, variety, and locations of incidents make this a challenging and rewarding career.

In this role, you will attend incident scenes—sometimes at short notice—to interview witnesses, capture information, and collect physical evidence and ultimately prepare and author investigation reports, informing our prevention and protection activities, and informing partner agencies such as Police or Coroner’s Office.
