About the role
We are seeking to fill an upcoming vacancy for the role of Service Delivery Staffing & Training Administrator. Reporting directly to the Watch Manager Staffing & Training you will be responsible for ensuring Tyne & Wear Fire & Rescue Service has the right people, in the right place, at the right time so that services can operate safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to the TWFRS Values of Safety, Integrity, Inclusivity and Learning, and champion these in day‑to‑day work, and uphold the highest standards of ethical behaviour in compliance with the ethical code of conduct. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate staffing records for operational and support staff.
- Assist with duty system administration, including watches, shifts and availability.
- Process staffing changes, including starters, leavers, role changes and temporary assignments.
- Monitor and report on staffing levels, vacancies and resilience.
- Liaise with Service Delivery managers to support effective workforce planning.
- Ensure compliance with working time regulations, rest periods and contractual terms.
Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrable experience as an administrator or qualification in an administrative related subject.
- Experience with IT, good typing skills, confident using email, word processors, presentations and spreadsheets.
- Strong communication skills, acting as first point of contact for staffing queries from managers and operational staff.
- Ability to analyse data and produce reports to inform management decision making and resource planning.
- Experience maintaining accurate workforce records, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality and compliance.
