The predicted salary is between 21169 - 24971 £ per year.

The London Fire Brigade invites a qualified Education Officer to deliver fire safety workshops to primary school aged children and collaborate with Borough Commanders to deliver fire safety messages. The role involves travelling across Greater London (Kingston, Merton, Sutton, Haringey, Barnet, Enfield, and other boroughs as required). Working days are 6.5‑hour sessions excluding travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and deliver engaging fire safety workshops and interactive activities in mainstream schools, SEMH, PRU, and alternative educational environments.
  • Communicate powerful safety messages in an inspiring and engaging way.
  • Adapt delivery to meet the diversity of learners.

Qualifications:

  • Experience of delivering educational presentations and interactive workshops to children and young people.
  • Good interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, staff, and Brigade personnel.
  • Strong understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion and a commitment to promote an inclusive working environment.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection legislation relevant to working with children.
