The Role

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity that is going to revolutionise our operational availability? Our friendly and inclusive ICT team are searching for a new Data and Systems Officer to support our new Workforce Management System, due to launch later this year.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Maintaining data to a high quality standard, ensuring accurate configuration is managed in a timely manner enabling accurate access for Service users.
  • Conducting audits of the systems so that the data meets with existing policy, procedures and workflow requirements.
  • Provide professional advice, system expertise and reports for information requested by business areas and collaborative partners.
  • Enable self-service reporting to support, evaluate and measure performance across fire standards, legislation, HMICFRS and Home Office.
  • Work with the ICT Business Partner to support production of technical documentation, project workstream delivery and strengthen adoption of the system by creating champions within each business area.
  • Build a strong relationship with the software provider to support the ICT Technical Services team with testing and managing technical issues through to resolution.
  • Represent ECFRS with ICT Local Partners and nationwide Fire and Rescue Services to collaborate on best practice, sharing guidance, experience and knowledge.
  • Represent ECFRS at national level user groups and related meetings to gain and share best practice.
  • Facilitate training and supporting resources for on-boarding new team members.
  • Work alongside and collaborate with other System and Data Officers to provide cross-system experience.

We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator with a passion for systems administration, managing data, and building strong working relationships. Experience in application management and configuration, managing different stakeholders is beneficial.
