About the Role

As an ACC you will play a critical supervisory role in ensuring the effective supervision of control‑room operations, mobilise resources, and support operational response across London. You will lead and support Control Officers in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment dealing with a wide range of operational incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise control‑room operations and ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Mobilise and allocate resources to meet operational demands.
  • Support operational response across London and across major events.
  • Lead and support Control Officers, making confident critical decisions under pressure.
  • Drive continuous improvement in control operations and develop teams.

Qualifications and Eligibility

  • Internal applicants must be a current LFB Control Officer who has completed the Control Officer Development Pathway.
  • External applicants must be a current substantive Crew Manager or Watch Manager A in a UK Fire and Rescue Control room.
  • Applicants must not have any live formal disciplinary sanctions and must not be in a formal capability process.
  • All candidates must demonstrate experience in a busy control environment, effective decision‑making, and a commitment to continuous improvement and people development.
