We are looking for an IT Lab Environment & Asset Lead to take ownership of the governance and operational control of our clients IT lab environment. This role is critical to ensuring lab assets, access, and usage are tightly managed, fully auditable, and aligned to approved funding and enterprise control standards.
You'll be working closely with delivery teams, PMO, finance, and external suppliers, to enable stable environments that support programme delivery while maintaining strong operational discipline. This is an operations-focused role. Control, compliance, and enablement are vital in this role.
Scope:- Maintain complete and accurate records of all hardware and software assets across test lab environments
- Oversee the full asset life cycle, including allocation, reuse, and secure decommissioning
- Ensure all lab usage is linked to approved funding, projects, or Clarity demands
- Manage governance of environment and console access, ensuring permissions are approved, monitored, and removed when no longer required
- Act as the primary point of coordination between lab teams, delivery programmes, PMO, finance, and vendors
- Provide operational oversight and reporting to support audit, risk, and compliance requirements
- Apply and operate within established enterprise governance and control frameworks
- Maintain strong working knowledge of supplier hardware management platforms, including Lenovo xClarity, Dell OEM tools, and HPE Compute Ops Management
