Contract for an experienced EUC Engineer to work on a large enterprise client project responsible for VDI activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and configure Omnissa Horizon desktop pools, master images and App Volumes packages.
  • Build and configure Igel thin clients, including repurposing existing HP laptops.
  • Support pilot deployment waves hands-on, including user readiness and issue resolution.
  • Execute integration tests; document deviations and remediation actions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years EUC engineering with hands-on experience in Omnissa Horizon.
  • Working knowledge of Igel installation and configuration.
  • Demonstrable delivery experience in a regulated industry, including familiarity with change control, audit and compliance constraints.
  • Experience working in a large, geographically distributed global organisation across multiple time zones and cultural contexts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage with senior stakeholders and translate technical detail for non-technical audiences.

Technical Skills

  • VDI: Omnissa Horizon (Blast Protocol, App Volumes) as default end-user platform.
  • Enterprise Browser: .
  • Endpoint management: Microsoft Intune (compliance policies, configuration settings, managed apps).
  • Identity: Microsoft EntraID, Active Directory, Identity Federation, Conditional Access for M365.
  • Apple stack: Apple Business Manager, Managed Apple ID, Automated Device Enrolment (ADE) into Intune, iPad (COD), iPhone (BYO).
  • Thin-client strategy: Igel OS on repurposed HP hardware, dedicated thin-client standards.
  • Cloud: Microsoft Azure as the control plane.
