We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Engineer to join a Global technology company within their IT Infrastructure team. You will have proven experience working with compute infrastructure in virtualised environments across both Windows and Linux platforms, with prior hands-on experience in a data centre setting being essential. You'll join a technical team responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and security of critical data centre systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain data centre compute infrastructure, including physical servers, racks, blade systems, and HCI platforms
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain physical server hardware
  • Support virtualised platforms and troubleshoot VM-related issues
  • Perform server racking and stacking activities
  • Provide support across both Windows and Linux server environments
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware faults, manage firmware updates, and coordinate supplier RMAs

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience in data centre or on-premises compute environments
  • Practical experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
  • Solid understanding of server hardware, firmware, and asset lifecycle management
  • Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar)
  • Windows and/or Linux server administration experience
