Contract: Cisco Meraki Network Engineer

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months

Location: UK Fully Remote or Poland Fully Remote

Rate: £380-400 a day gross (Inside IR35 via Umbrella) for UK based resource, €390 - 410 a day gross (Via payroll solution) for Polish based resource

Responsibilities:

  • Independently lead deployments, new builds, and expansion projects across corporate offices, M&A, and JVs.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of network equipment - procurement, configuration, implementation, documentation, and decommissioning - ensuring compliance with client's design standards.
  • Contribute to design and configure LAN/WAN infrastructure, wireless, and SD-WAN environments using Cisco Meraki and Cisco Catalyst.
  • Support the growth and stabilization of network infrastructure, assisting with design, configuration, and rollout of new regional sites and integrations.
  • Partner with global IT and cybersecurity teams to drive patch compliance, strengthen network security posture, and support infrastructure hardening initiatives.
  • Configure, support, and maintain Zscaler ZIA/ZPA.
  • Take ownership of complex troubleshooting through all layers of the OSI model, coordinating with ISPs and internal stakeholders to restore service quickly and accurately.
  • Contribute to process improvement by recommending tooling, automation, and documentation enhancements to strengthen visibility and uptime across all environments.

Skills:

  • Meraki expertise
  • Familiarity with other network tools
  • 2-4 years of working experience in a large enterprise client environments
  • Understanding of network design theories
  • Knowledge of the TCP/IP network stack and OSI model
  • Practical knowledge of the IEEE 802 standards
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills in a large Enterprise multi-vendor environment
  • Hands-on experience with IPsec fundamentals (IKEv2, PSKs, tunnel monitoring/health checks, primary/secondary behavior)
  • Experience working in repeatable rollout patterns across many sites (templates/runbooks, per-site validation checklists, documentation hygiene)
  • Prior knowledge of best practices regarding network deployments for venues, offices and client locations.
  • Front-line operational support experience - specifically within live entertainment or venue-based environments, with a proven ability to manage hyper care scenarios, rapid issue resolution, and out-of-hours support demands.
  • Ability to provide both hands-on solutions and management of projects as well as deliver training
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including VISIO and Excel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Flexible schedule required
