Key Responsibilities
- Assess and support Mainstream, Kinship Foster Carers, and Special Guardians
- Deliver high-quality training and assessments for prospective foster carers
- Uphold the Fostering National Minimum Standards across all practice
- Contribute to the wellbeing and stability of children in care
- Collaborate with co-located childrens services teams to enhance joint working
- Promote the voice of foster carers through reflective practice and supervision
- Maintain accurate, insightful reports and assessments
- Participate in a comprehensive induction and ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with post-qualifying experience in statutory social care
- Strong assessment and report writing capabilities
- Knowledge of fostering frameworks and national standards
- Ability to work restoratively and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children
- Confidence in training delivery and carer engagement
