Cyber Security Engineer – Splunk Prometheus/Grafana
We are recruiting for a client seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer with expertise in SPLUNK and PROMETHEUS/GRAFANA. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact security projects while maintaining a strong work-life balance.
Key Details:
Location: UK-based, with on-site work required in London or North Yorkshire 2-3 days per month
Language: Fluent English required
Employment Type: Permanent or contract positions available (both inside and outside IR35 possible for contracts)
Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain security controls to protect networks, systems, and data
• Conduct security assessments and risk analysis to identify vulnerabilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security standards
• Respond to security incidents and support forensic investigations
• Develop and enhance security policies, procedures, and best practices
• Stay ahead of the latest threats and security technologies

Requirements:

• 4-8 years of experience in cyber security
• Expertise in Splunk and Prometheus/Grafana is essential
• Proven experience in risk management and security frameworks
• Strong understanding of network security, threat detection, and incident response
• Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies
• Experience in cloud security and DevSecOps practices is advantageous
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
