Area Sales Manager – Scotland & North England (12-month FTC)
Established over 20 years ago, our client is a market-leading manufacturer of a range of FMCG / consumer goods products. They are a global organization with a turnover of £6bn, and are working with a range of national-level accounts alongside independent businesses.
They are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join their team, in overseeing a set of existing accounts across Scotland & the north of England. This is a crucial role in building long-term relationships with clients and driving success across the region.

This is a field-based role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face meetings with a range of clients on a daily basis
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders across the accounts
- Communicate product availability, support with staff training and product merchandising in-store
- Adopt a flexible & adaptable approach to each customer account based on type of business & business location
- Execute a range business development activities to maximise sales across designated territory
- Evaluate successes & highlight areas for improvement across territory, utilising data & budget for support
- Work towards a set of defined targets
The Successful Candidate
- 12+ months experience in a field sales role is ideal
- A background in FMCG would be a plus
- Candidates outside of a sales background would also be considered; Retail Store Managers or Field-Based Merchandisers are encouraged to apply
- Full UK driving license
- Based in Edinburgh or surrounding areas

- Basic salary: £35,500
- OTE: +£10,000-15,000
