A Food company are seeking a Technician to join them ASAP on a temporary basis. The Lab conducts microbiological testing of a variety of samples, predominantly testing for Salmonella. You will be responsible for sample registration and prep, as well as assisting with analysis and other assistive duties in the Lab.
Role Overview
- Temporary, Full Time (08:30-17:00 Monday- Friday)
- Some occasional weekend work.
- Start Date 11/05/26 or 18/05/26
- Expected to Last 3 months.
Sample prep and assisting with analysis of samples, following SOPs and conducting all work in line with ISO17025 standards. Operation and troubleshooting a range of instruments. Maintaining and updating LIMS and all records.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ideally some prior experience in a similar Lab.
- Experience in Food or Microbiology testing, working in an ISO17025 lab, or experience with Salmonella testing would be highly beneficial.
- Must be available to begin on 11/05/26 or 18/05/26 in Shropshire.
