We are currently working with an innovative and firmly established medical devices manufacturer, focused on arthroplasty, reconstruction and revision related products. They are embarking on an ambitious growth strategy which will allow development to those joining now.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager with strong knowledge of the market to continue their growth within the portfolio.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote all products within the nominated UK territory as agreed
  • Focus on strategic growth targets and enhance presence in the market
  • Manage key accounts
  • Attend surgery and support both theatre and hospital staff as required
  • Maintain adequate records of account or potential account contact history
  • Coordinate with the area manager the cases that need the clinical support
  • Work closely with the clinical support specialist on any post sales requirements
  • Work with the Customer Services Department on hospital requirements for short term consignments and the installation/management of accounts with long term consignment
  • Keep the Company informed of customer feedback, specifically in the field of post marketing surveillance and any other relevant market information

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Personal attributes/competencies:

  • Excellent communicator
  • Well presented
  • Able to build effective relationships

Skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Excellent track record in orthopaedic theatre sales and support in medical device sector
  • 4-5 years experience within orthopaedic based sales
  • Demonstrable over-achievement of targets
  • Managed own territory
  • Full UK driving licence (preferably clean)

Desirable:

  • Orthopaedic experience

Education and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Degree or Medical qualification
