Are you looking to gain some further experience in a Scientific Environment? Do you have lab experience from an academic or industrial setting? Are you immediately available? A leading and successful provider of analytical testing is seeking a Lab Technician to join their Environmental Science Lab near Derby. Ideal for candidates looking to begin a career in a scientific environment.

Role Overview:

  • Receipt and analysis of samples using a range of analytical techniques.
  • Conduct all work in line with relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines including Good Lab Practice (GLP) and ISO17025.

Temporary, Full-time (39 hours pw) role starting on shifts of Tuesday to Saturday. Rotating shifts between hours of 6AM-9PM. Flexibility required to move onto a different shift rotation that may include evenings and weekends. Opportunities to go permanent and progress.

Requirements:

  • Analytical experience gained from working in an academic or industrial laboratory setting.
  • Degree level or equivalent qualification in a Chemistry related discipline is highly advantageous.
  • Highly motivated with the desire to learn and progress.
  • Must be available to begin immediately.
