Are you looking to gain some experience in an Analytical Laboratory? A leading and successful provider of analytical testing and Environmental services are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the team in their environmental testing Lab in Didcot, Oxfordshire, on a temp to perm basis. Ideal for Graduates of Chemistry, or related disciplines, or if you have prior lab experience. Due to the urgency of the role you must be immediately available to begin.
The role will occasionally involve driving to client sites to collect samples, so a full clean driving licence and First Aid at Work Qualification are essential.
Role Overview- Receipt and Analysis of Samples using a range of Analytical Techniques.
- Ensure all work is conducted in line with relevant regulations and standards such as UKAS ISO17025, GLP.
- Occasional - a few times per quarter- drive to sites to collect samples.
- Temporary to permanent, Full-time role Monday-Friday. 39 hours per week (Monday-Thursday 7:00am -3:30pm, Friday 7:00am-2:00pm) £12.50ph.
- A Degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline is highly beneficial but not essential, if you have equivalent Lab Based experience.
- Experience in Analytical Chemistry, particularly environmental samples is highly advantageous.
- Must be highly motivated, with great attention to detail and problem-solving capability, excellent communication skills and a strong appreciation for the principles of quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- You must be immediately available to begin and based a commutable distance from site in Didcot.
- Full Clean Driving Licence and First Aid at Work Qualification are Essential.
