A manufacturer of specialist pharmaceuticals are currently seeking a QC Chemist to join the team at their site in Guildford. The role will involve the QC Testing of pharmaceutical products. This is an ideal opportunity if you are a graduate (MSc or BSc) of a relevant scientific discipline and have some working experience, or an industrial placement/internship within an analytical/QC role in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Role Overview
- Permanent full time, 40 hours (5x 8 hour shifts per week mon‑fri) rotating weeks, week 1 start at 3AM, week 2 start at 5AM, week 3 start at 7AM. Some overtime on Saturdays.
- Routine analysis of pharmaceutical products in line with cGMP and company standards.
- Utilise a range of analytical techniques and equipment including HPLC, GC, RTLC, LAL and Gamma Spectrometer, to name a few.
- Take part in maintenance and calibration of analytical equipment.
- Ensure all records and documentation are completed in line with relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Experience with HPLC, GC or similar analytical instruments in an industrial setting.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant analytical chemistry related discipline is essential.
- Must be able to work shifts that include nights, and will include occasional Saturday work (overtime).
