Trainee Technical Sales Representative
Are you a STEM Graduate who is looking for an opportunity to move away from the laboratory but still be connected to science? Are you looking to gain experience in the world of commercial sales?
Our client is a rapidly growing and innovative business delivering specialist chemical and physical testing services for a wide range of clients within the Pharma, Food & Beverage and Cosmetics industries, among others. Due to growth, they are now looking to hire a Trainee Technical Sales Representative to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a great opportunity for someone to establish themselves in the scientific sales industry and gain brilliant training.
Responsibilities
- Developing and nurturing sales for the business
- Targeting a range of specialist markets within the scientific and industrial sectors
- Prospecting relevant companies, approaching them enthusiastically and knowledgeable, helping them understand the benefits of the services offered
- Having technical conversations with key decision makers and articulating specialist services in a manageable way for the audience
- Traveling overseas to exhibitions and conferences
Qualifications
- Hold a scientific degree, ideally Physics or Chemical Engineering related, but Food Science, Biology, Biochemistry etc. considered
- Commercially focused role – able to work well with others and confident when talking over the phone and in person
- Sales experience desirable but not mandatory
- Energetic, enthusiastic and have an appetite to deliver results
- Resilient and able to persevere; must hold a valid driver’s licence and have own transport
- Competitive salary with bonus and progression opportunities
- Training provided to progress to Technical Sales Rep
This role is mainly office based but will have capacity to be hybrid once embedded.
