Are you immediately available and looking to gain some additional experience as an MLA? A successful diagnostics company is seeking multiple temporary MLAs/Sample Technicians to join their lab near Wallingford, Oxfordshire. In this role, you will be responsible for the receipt, recording, and preparation of patients' blood samples for analysis. Ideally, you will have some prior experience in a similar environment, handling and preparing samples. This will initially be on a 3-month basis, with potential to extend/go permanent. All shifts are standard day shifts, some rotations will involve weekend work.
Role Overview
- Temporary, Full Time standard day shifts.
- Lab operates 7 days a week, multiple rotations available that may involve weekend work.
- £13-16ph DOE
- Receive, label and record data into LIMS for incoming blood samples, ensuring excellent attention to detail.
- Preparation of samples for analysis via centrifugation.
- Equipment checks and basic troubleshooting/maintenance.
- Assist with other duties to ensure the smooth operation of the lab such as clinical waste disposal and reagent/supplies procurement.
Requirements
- Must be available to begin w/c 25th May in Wallingford, Oxford.
- Relevant scientific degree (or equivalent experience working as an MLA/Sample Tech in a medical lab).
- Ideally some prior experience of working in a similar, regulated environment and familiarity with handling medical samples.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and communication skills are essential. This will be a high volume, fast-paced role.
